Nandrodex 300 contains Nandrobone Decanoate in a concentration of 300 mg/ml.
Nandrolone is an anabolic steroid with enhanced anabolic properties and reduced androgenic effect. Nandrodex 300 uses Nandrolone in its Decanoate ester form to generate slow rate absorption of the Nandrolone into the circulation.
Nandrolone occurs naturally in the human body, albeit in small quantities. Nandrolone is also called
19Nor-testosterone. As this synonym would indicate its molecule's structure resembles the testosterone molecule but for one change: the absence of a carbon atom in the 19th position. This configuration alters the metabolic and the receptor-binding characteristics of Nandrolone.
The ergonogenic effects of Nandrolone are based on 5 main mechanism of action:
1. Nandrolone shifts the nitrogen equilibrium to the positive side for better utilization of ingested protein and the increased retention of nitrogen. Although temporary and needing a high-protein complementary diet, this effect helps the body to "build" muscles.
2. The Nandrolone's molecule, as all anabolic steroids, forms a steroid-receptor complex in skeletal muscle that stimulates the RNA-polymerase system which, in turn, increases protein synthesis in the cell. Nandrolone shows a very high affinity to the Androgen receptor, about 3 times higher then Testosterone, which manifests in a strong anabolic effect.
3. Nandrolone administration increases the rate of muscle glycogen repletion after exercise, an increase that may be explained by increased glucose output by the liver, higher plasma insulin concentration, and increased insulin-independent glucose transport.
4. Nandrolone has been shown to improve the oxygen-carrying ability of blood. This effect is mainly explained by the ability of Nandrolone to stimulate erythropoietin production. This character improves endurance and stamina and enhances the recuperation process after strenuous exercise. The stimulation of erythropoietin production is created by enhancing the production of erythropoietic stimulating factors and increasing the sensitivity of erythroid progenitor cells in the bone marrow to the circulating erythropoietin.
5. Nandrolone improves collagen synthesis and increases bone minerals content and calcium balance. These qualities enhance recuperation and the remodeling process of injured or damaged bones, tendons and ligaments and relief the characteristic pain of these conditions. Furthermore these characters improve tendons, ligaments and joints performance under load, stress and strain and helps to prevent associated injuries under such conditions.
In various target tissues, including accessory sex organs (e.g. the prostate), skin, liver, and sebaceous glands, Testosterone is 5 alpha-reduced to Dihydrotestosterone which, due to its higher affinity for the androgen receptor, amplifies the action of testosterone. This mechanism in which an anabolic steroid is 5-alpha-reduced, in target tissues, into a more reactive derivative is typical to other anabolic steroids either. In contrast, when Nandrolone is 5-alpha-reduced, its affinity for the androgen receptor decreases, resulting in a decrease in its androgenic potency. As such, some of the negative androgenic effects are somewhat mitigated with the use of Nandrolone. Thus the deleterious effects common to many anabolic steroids on the scalp, skin, and prostate are lessened by a certain degree with the application of Nandrodex 300 . However the high anabolic potency of Nandrolone remains unchanged by the 5-alpha-reduction pathway, since the extent of this phenomenon in muscle tissue is negligible.
Nandrolone is resistant to aromatization to Estradiol. Hence some of the estrogenic effects resulting from reaction with Aromatase are mitigated.
However Nandrolone is progestin. Its ability to stimulate the progesterone receptor is about 20 % of Progesteron itself, and the affinity of some of its metabolites to the Progesteron receptor are equal or higher then Progesteron itself. Thus Nandrolone creates high suppressive effect on the gonadal axis. Other side effects associated with this trait may include gynaecomastia (which is highly pronounced when high concentrations of Estrogen, or estrogenic compounds, are present in the circulation), reduced libido and erectile dysfunction.
The estirification of Nandrolone, which temporarily deactivates the steroid molecule, permits the sterile oil-based injection to form a "depot" in the injected muscle tissue. Esterase enzymes convert the esterified form of Nandrolone back to his virgin active form. The active life time of Nandrodex 300 corresponds to the rate of release from the depot which is about 15 days. Nevertheless in order to create stable levels of Nandrolone in the blood, which ensure effective ergogenic response, administration of Nandrodex 300 at least once per week is recommended.
